The area my map covered was central to Wattle Park and I proposed a total of nine improvements:

  • A primary school on Riversdale Road (near the intersection of Riversdale and Warrigal Road)
  • An IGA supermarket and carpark located on Boisdale Street (parallel to Riversdale Road)
  • A bus line to service the IGA supermarket
  • A secondary school near the southeast of Wattle Park
  • Sport courts on Riversdale Road for the local students
  • An underground train line on Elgar Road
  • Medical facilities on the corner of Elgar and Hamel Street
  • A playground and a neighbourhood house off Elgar Road
  • Pool and gym facility off Erasmus Street

Congratulations to Emily for being the state winner of the MapIT! 2022 competition, the whole Siena community is very proud of you! Special thanks to Head of Humanities, Jessica Sullivan, as well as Humanities teachers, Alan Anderson and Neil Thomas for submitting the competition entries.
