As part of our 2023 ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Horizons Week, our Year 9 students participated in a unique city based program together with Xavier College, reflecting on the social injustices that continually exist within the Melbourne community through the lenses of the Dominican and Jesuit Charisms.

Participating in workshops facilitated by The Big Issue Australia and Jesuit Social Services in the suburbs of Brunswick and Collingwood, students also undertook A Most Liveable City Walk facilitated by non profit social enterprise, The Intersection.

Students then returned to Xavier College where they worked in coeducational groups to develop a Social Enterprise responding to what they have experienced during the city based program. Guided by staff from both Colleges, students collaborated, created, innovated and presented their Social Enterprise concept to an audience of peers and educators.

Thank you Xavier College for this wonderful collaboration and we look forward to future social justice partnerships.
